Pentecost marks the moment Jesus ascended to heaven and the Holy Spirit came to dwell in the hearts of God’s people. As we celebrate this day and move into “Ordinary Time,” we ought to be moved towards a deep, ongoing awareness of the Spirit in our lives.
Pentecost stands as an exclamation point on the Church’s reflection on Jesus’ birth, life, death and resurrection. It’s the grand “therefore” leading into a season of Ordinary Time (the roughly six months between Pentecost and Advent) as the Church of Jesus Christ continues about the work she was commissioned to do: making disciples of every nation to the glory of God.
We love creating practical, discipleship resources to help you know and love God more. If you've benefited from our resources, would you consider giving back to help us continue helping men, women and children as they find their place in God's story?
