Many of those who were raised in a white middle-class setting, by default, see the world through a sense of privilege. In order to pursue racial reconciliation, it is pivotal that we become aware of this privilege.
Rejected by family, the Porters entered their marriage in a season of hurt, longing and praying for reconciliation. As they learned to trust the Lord, He graciously revealed their own sin and restored their relationships.
Every year, we pray about three topics: racial harmony, the sanctity of human life and the nations. It’s a catalyst to remind us about the importance of robust prayer and the ministry of Jesus Christ, giving us a renewed resolve to carry us through the rest of the year.
