Sola gratia, “grace alone,” is one of the five theological principles of the Reformation. Grace is God’s undeserved favor toward sinners. God is the author of our salvation, so He alone gets credit for it.
It is a common misconception for Christians to think about the Old and New Testaments in two separate categories—law and grace. But God has always been, is today and forever will be gracious, and the entire Bible tells this story.
