Sola fide, “faith alone,” is one of the five theological principles of the Reformation. Faith is a gift of God accompanied by repentance and good works. The Reformers saw that this faith was central to our salvation.
Following the Early Church’s persecution, there was a time in which Christianity had cultural favor in power. Post-Enlightenment, however, Christianity is moving toward a season of hostility and marginalization.
The season of Epiphany calls us to remember when God revealed His redemptive plan through the person and work of Jesus Christ. Like the Magi, God draws us to Himself, renews our faith and fills us with joy.
