Kyle and Julie always envisioned having several children; however, they soon hit a wall and experienced difficulty with losses. The Sims began to wonder why God would withhold such good gifts from them. Kyle and Julie put their hope in children rather than relying on God to fill their lives. Through the adoption process, the Sims learned that a child is unable to take away the loss and pain. Only the Lord can heal.
