During his teenage years, Roy’s life was defined by a deep pain and anger that stemmed from his struggle with same-sex attraction. After high school, God saw fit to place a Christian family down the street from Roy’s home. He soon began spending time with them and visiting their church. Roy strongly desired the love and acceptance he saw within the Christian community. Through joining The Village and committing to a Home Group, Roy was able to grow in openness, confession and honesty.
